On Thursday, September 5, 2019, Knights of Columbus Council 13517 presented a check to Linda Hoyt of Here’s Hope Horse Farm in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The check was made possible via donations through the Knights Measure-Up Campaign. The farm is a place where God’s love and God’s creatures combine to make positive change. Their website mission states that “through horses we foster mental health, individual achievement and spiritual growth“. Here’s Hope Horse Farm, a therapeutic riding facility for those with special needs, was incorporated on February 23, 2004. In the barn setting, equine facilitated activities and riding provide powerful tools for building self awareness, self esteem, and self responsibility. Interactions incorporate the power of the horse, skilled care by a North American Riding for the Handicapped (NARHA) certified instructor, and the hopes, dreams and challenges of the person working with the horse.
The video below illustrates the amazing works of Linda and Here’s Hope.
